To Brian Moore of the Socialist Party USA

 

In America it must be hard to fight as a anti capitalist democratic socialist. With Stalinist Cuba on your doorstep and the remnants of Stalinist Russia in the US minds it must have been difficult.

 

But I admire you Brian Moore, a man who gives people a change to vote for changes. Barak Obama and his neoliberal agenda will not bring changes. Even Ralph Nader who is only a social democrat by our European standards.

 

In my country The Netherlands we have a Socialist Party. But our Dutch SP is turning reformist. They don’t speak anymore about workers democracy, nationalizing the main industry, planning democratically the economy, it is lost in the Dutch SP. But the SPUSA is a great anti-capitalist Socialist Party, and they are anti Stalinist, which I like, because I hate Fidel Castro, Stalin, Mao, and all those Stalinist leaders of Stalinist states.

 

Americans should be happy to have a real democratic socialist party, we Dutch should learn from the SPUSA and turn back to revolutionary democratic socialism, not to social democracy.

 

For now Obama has won, but let the future see what his liberal agenda brings. I would have voted for you Brian Moore if I had the great honor to live in one of those 8 states, on which Americans could vote for the SPUSA. The American democratic system is not fair and it is old and made only for rich and powerful parties. Here in the Netherlands we are far more democratic than there in the USA. Even small parties like the Dutch SGP ( Orthodox Christians ) can will seats in our parliament.

 

Well good luck in the future, and don’t give up on democratic socialism. To many socialists have turned to the dark side ( capitalism ), don’t give up on Karl Marx’s dream.
