Brian’s Letter: VA is Good Example of Socialized Health
Medicare administrative costs are 3 percent compared to the private sector’s 35 percent administrative costs. I opposed the Homeland Security Agency in 2004 and 2006 as a congressional and senate candidate, labeling Homeland Security as another bureaucratic boondoggle. The Republicans led the charge with Democratic support for this $8 billion annual albatross.
The Veterans Administration is a decent model of how a fully socialized health care system should work.

3) Mr. Moore says that “The Veterans Administration is a decent model of how a fully socialized health care system should work.” My question for him is “Are you a veteran and how much experience do you personally have as a patient with the VA?” I’m guessing “No”and “None.” Just another pseudo-intellectual pontificating about what is wrong with the greatest country on earth. Rahm Emanuel’s brother Ezikiel is on the Obama health team. Please educate yourself on his beliefs. Under Obama’s plan the elderly, including veterans will not be receiving anything like the level of care they now receive. Bonus fact: The health care bill before the House of Representatives includes a provision that will allow the government to access EVERYONE’s checking account to pay for whatever treatment is received. Don’t believe it? See page 59 of the healthcare bill. I’d bet even Brian would have a problem with Uncle Sam having access to his checking account. A decent model of government control posing as healthcare.

4) I had VA care and opted out and now pay more than $1000 a month for healthcare and I love it. Sorry, I now don’t have worry about what doctor is going to be mine. I pick the doctor not the other way around.
