University President Genshaft’s Offenses, Tampa Tribune

“GENSHAFT’S OFFENSES”
The coach Jim Leavitt firing for his actions with a football player at the University of South Florida pales compared to the real and more serious problems at the university.
President Judy Genshaft’s exorbitant salary and annual bonus increases, plus car, school and club benefits for her and her family, plus the burdensome tuition hikes imposed on students, are the real offenses at USF.
Furthermore, the school’s shameless embrace of corporations and economic interests at the expense of intellectual and academic freedom are grounds for Genshaft’s departure, not Mr. Leavitt, who is guilty of temporary passion and poor judgment only.
